Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format (please share video files via a link pasted on the submitted Word document).
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Submission Guidelines section.

In the Comments for the Editor box below, please include the following:
---- The names of all authors, in order, as well as their affiliations, if applicable.
---- The ORCID iDs of all authors, in order, if applicable.
---- Each author's connection to autism (such as: Autistic adult, parent/guardian of an Autistic person, family [but not a parent of an Autistic person], professional, service provider, etc.)
---- Please indicate the corresponding author and provide their email address, if it is different than the person currently completing this submission.
If we do not receive this information, it may delay the review of your submission.

Copyright Notice
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
CJAE accepts articles that have not been published in any other journals/proceedings, unless copyright permission is assured, and have not been submitted for consideration to any other journals/proceedings at the time of submitting to the Canadian Journal of Autism Equity for consideration. While a paper is under consideration by CJAE, you agree not to submit the work to other journals/proceedings until review by CJAE is completed and a decision has been rendered.
It is the responsibility of the authors and co-authors to be aware of the journal’s policies and how they impact them and the publication process.
