Abstract

The following poem captures the internal battles that I have faced as a late-diagnosed, high-masking autistic woman. It expresses the complexities in navigating self-awareness, masking, alexithymia, and self-compassion. Hopefully this work fosters empathy and offers some validation to the experiences of others within this community.
