Focus and Scope
The International Journal of Risk and Recovery aims to publish research and practice based articles for academics and clinicians. The scope of the journal is to deal with medico-legal issues, risk and innovation in rehabilitation in mental health.
Peer Review Process
The International Journal of Risk and Recovery enforces a double blind review process. The submissions will be initially assessed by the Editor prior to a full review. Then the manuscripts suitable will be examined by a minimum of one reviewer. The decision of acceptance or rejection of the submission will be the final decision of the Editor. The reviewers are selected according to their area of expertise (psychiatry, psychology, psychotherapy, law, correctional system...) and their ability to provide a scientific opinion on the quality of the manuscripts. The reviewers are expected to provide their review to the Editor within one month. Once the article is submitted, the author should receive the Editor's decision within a two months period.
The publication schedule is twice per year. Once an article has been accepted, it will undergo several steps prior to its publication in the journal. The last step is the proofreading by the authors. Once this is done, and even though the article is aimed to be published in a the next issue, it will be accessible under the "future issue" section.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
