Call for Papers: Special Section on Student-Staff Partnerships in the Global South
The International Journal for Students as Partners invites submissions for a special section exploring the dynamics and potential of student-staff partnerships in the context of the Global South. This special section aims to advance scholarly understanding and practical applications of partnerships that promote equity, collaboration, and innovation within higher education institutions. We seek contributions that address the unique challenges, opportunities, and perspectives prevalent in the Global South, challenging dominant discourses and disrupting the notion of this region as 'other' or 'subaltern.'
We welcome original research articles, case studies, and reflective essays that explore various aspects of student-staff partnerships, including institutional practices, pedagogical approaches, theoretical frameworks from the South, successful collaborations, and challenges to implementation. Proposal submissions (300-500 words) are due by 14 September 2025, with full papers due 31 January 2026, and expected publication in October 2026.
