Author Biography

Tonie Chaltas, Hill+Knowlton Strategies

A seasoned communications professional with 25 years of experience, Tonie provides communications counsel to clients in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. Her clients have included Bruce Power, Royal Canadian Mint, Scotiabank, and the Rick Hansen Foundation. Her work includes strategic planning, change and internal communications, stakeholder and community relations, and public affairs.

Tonie’s corporate responsibilities as COO of Hill+Knowlton Strategies focus on the day-to-day operation of the business. She holds executive responsibility for human resources, legal, information technology, creative services, as well as the eight practice and service offerings in Canada. She also leads strategic planning, acquisitions, and integration and leads the annual global business planning process.
