Abstract

The anthology opens with an overview of significant themes from McMaster’s earliest 80 years of education starting from the enrollment of the first student cohort in 1890. This contextual introduction also highlights inter/national trends in teaching philosophies and educational development that informed McMaster’s creation of its teaching and learning centre (TLC) in 1972.
