Original Article
This can be research or practice oriented. The length of the Original Article should not be more than 10 to 15 pages (2,500 to 3,750 words). There is no limit on the number of references.
Review
This is a meta-analysis or literature review. The length of Reviews should not be more than 10 to 15 pages long (2,500 to 3,750 words). There is no limitation on the number of references as long as they are relevant to the review. We encourage authors to use the (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) PRISMA Statement to present and analyze their data.
Case Reports
This is a brief description of an unusual case or case series. This needs to provide a critical comment or new information on the field explored by the case. The length of the Case Report is limited to eight to 10 pages (2,000 to 2,500 words).
Letter to the Editor
This is a short article to update readers about a situation or case that does not require extensive details. The length of the Letter to the Editor is limited to three pages (about 750 words) and up to 10 references. The letter should start with “Dear Editor.” Headings may be used if appropriate.
Jurisprudence
This provides readers with a short version of a recent legal evolution. It cannot exceed five pages (1,250 words) and 10 references. It must include three parts.
- An Introduction that states the legal bases before the new law implementation or case law decision;
- A Legal Evolution that describes the events and case law that led to the change; and
- A Conclusion that describes the new bases and the expected outcomes in the future.
Comment
This is for authors who want to comment on a previously published article in this journal. It cannot exceed three pages (750 words) and 10 references. The content of the comments has to specifically address the points written in the article being referred to.
