Constance Malleson's papers contain four documents describing Bertrand Russell late in life, from the period of her last direct contact with him. At the top of one she wrote "an intimate portrait". The portraits were probably written for publication, perhaps in Scandinavian newspapers, but no trace of them has been found. Here are presented three of the four, the excluded document being very repetitive of the second. Malleson's relationship with Russell over four decades at the time of writing, and the fact that in 1948-49 she stayed with him in his Welsh home in Llan Ffestiniog, give the documents primary research value.
